An alert nobody sees is not an alert.
Most monitoring tools send an email by default. At three in the morning that email sits in an inbox and gets read at nine. So we care rather more about where the message arrives than about how pretty it looks. Twelve channels to choose from, and you decide per monitor which one fires.
How it works
You create a channel, give it a webhook URL, token or address, and assign it to your monitors. When a monitor changes state, the message goes out over every channel assigned to it, immediately. One monitor may have several channels, and the same channel may hang off many monitors. How many channels you can run in parallel depends on your plan.

Frequently asked questions
Which notification channels are there?
Twelve: Slack, Discord, Telegram, email, webhook, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, ntfy, Gotify, MQTT, FCM for push in the Android app, and PushPig. Anything missing from that list can nearly always be wired up through the webhook.
Can I use several channels at once?
Yes, as many as your plan allows. A mix usually works best: chat for daytime, a push channel for the night.
Can I send alerts to my own system?
That is what the webhook is for. UptimeAlien posts the status change as JSON to a URL of your choosing, and from there you route it into your own on-call or ticketing system. MQTT works too, if you already run a broker.
Do I get a message for every failed check?
No, and that is deliberate. What gets reported is the state change, so when a monitor goes from up to down and when it comes back. Otherwise an overnight outage would turn your phone into a metronome.
Does the number of channels depend on the plan?
Yes. The channels themselves are the same everywhere; what is limited is how many you may have set up at once.
